Upward Form Help
Building a proper Upward registration form
is the single most important thing you will do to make your online
registration a success. There are very important "Do's" and
"Don'ts" that need to be followed. Upward is very specific on the
types and values of information that they expect when performing an
import of data. For this reason EasyREG is also very strict as
well. Please review the "cheat sheet" table below for each form
and study the common questions and errors.
All of these errors will result in the inability of your church to
easily import your registration data into the Upward ULM
software.
Please read all of this carefully to avoid these mistakes.
Note that most errors occur when editing the required "drop
down" menu choices found in each form.

| Using one form for multiple events |
When building Upward forms remember that you need to build a
separate form for each event. Each event requires
different information to be collected (Assertiveness for
Basketball and Cheer Tee Size for Cheerleading as an example).
Also, the ULM import feature will not work with a combination
export file containing several types of Player data. |

| Note: Most common error on the coaches
form is to ask for more then one Grade or Gender to coach or to
change the grade choices to a combination choice (1st/2nd Grade
Girls). Upward does not allow this information to be
collected in this way and still import in the data. If
you decide that you want to collect the coach info like this all
you need to do is build a regular registration form and realize
that you cannot import the data into the ULM software (for most
churches this is preferable). |
